Big Island Pond, is located in Derry, Hampstead, and Atkinson, New Hampshire.  With its rich history dating back to Indian settlements, steam boats, and colonial governors, Big Island Pond has been home to many residents.  Summers at Big Island Pond have become treasured memories  by summer campers as well as families who have been on the lake for generations.

In order to protect and conserve this precious resource, Friends of Big Island Pond, a non profit organization, was formed in 2009 in order to provide support in the effort to protect and preserve Big Island Pond for many generations in the future.
